KTM Spark Arrestor End Cap — USFS Approved Muffler Conversion

The Fastway Spark Arrestor End Cap is the simplest way to convert your stock muffler into a United States Forest Service (U.S.F.S.) approved spark arrested muffler. Designed specifically for KTM, Husqvarna, and Gas Gas dirt bikes, this end cap lets you ride legal on public lands without swapping out your entire exhaust system.

How It Works

The end cap installs over your existing muffler outlet and houses a spark arrestor screen that meets U.S.F.S. compliance standards. When spark arrestor screens aren’t required — such as at the MX track — simply remove two machine screws from each end cap and pull out the screens. It’s a fast, tool-simple process that takes seconds in the pits.

Fitment Note: 2023–2025 Husqvarna FE/XCF-W 450

Owners of the 2023–2025 Husqvarna FE 450 and XCFW 450 should be aware of an important fitment detail. These bikes feature a cone resonator welded into the very end of the muffler. The included spark arrestor screen cannot be installed unless this resonator is ground out and removed — a modification that will alter the bike’s power delivery and increase exhaust volume.

Riders have two options:

1. Run the end cap without the screen: Retain the resonator and forgo full U.S.F.S. SA compliance.
2. Remove the resonator and install the screen: Achieve full USFS spark arrestor compliance with some change to power and sound.

The choice is yours based on your riding needs and local land-use requirements.
